MarketSW is a monthly, 4 to 10 pm, Friday evening, arts market at Waterfront Station in SW DC. Now in its second year, it re-launches on May 27, continuing every fourth Friday through October 28, 2016.

Situated on “The Lot” at Waterfront Station at 4th and M Streets SW, MarketSW is located among Waterfront Station Metro, Safeway, popular restaurants Station 4 and ZBurger, and Arena Stage.

There is plenty of public parking among major office buildings, apartments and the thriving Southwest neighborhood which is well known for its proximity to the Washington Channel, Fort McNair, and the national headquarters of more than two dozen federal agencies.

The market is a production of Diverse Markets Management (DMM) and supported by Waterfront Station and the Southwest Business Improvement District.

A diverse mix of art, crafts, handmade jewelry, accessories, bath/beauty, vintage and antique furniture, furnishings, and collectibles, as well as other local and handcrafted products are featured. As an additional draw, live-music and select food trucks are part of the programming mix.

The welcoming setting is a community draw, with plenty of seating, and a beer garden and cigar lounge section. The market consists of 25-35 regular participants. DMM handles all aspects of recruiting, contracting and managing vendors for the market.
