Apply For Farmers Market SW

April 15, 2016

Do you grow, produce, source, or sell high quality local healthy foods or beverages?

Farmers MarketSW is now accepting applications from quality food and farm businesses for the weekly Saturday market in SouthWest DC.

Diverse Markets Management is pleased to announce the continuation of Farmers MarketSW, at The Lot SW, 4th & M Street SW.  Opening April 21 and running every Saturday from 9AM to 1PM through November 17, the market offers locally grown fresh produce, baked goods, coffee, jams/jellies, pasture-raised meats & eggs, and prepared foods.

Now entering its fourth market season in the commercial center of the Southwest neighborhood across from the Waterfront Metro Station (green line), the market attracts hundreds of weekly shoppers from the surrounding community and also features entertainment including live music, cooking demos, dance workshops, lawn games and more.  The rapidly growing area, including the Wharf, newly completed apartment buildings, and new area amenities over the past year are adding critical density -- and the market is poised to grow significantly with new resources and new partnerships. It's a nice neighborhood market that attracts families, young professionals and home-owning seniors in the area. The market also goes above and beyond to offer support to low-income shoppers through various voucher programs and a match for spending of federal nutrition assistance monies.

Diverse Markets Management is a DC-based firm specializing in the development and management of outdoor public exhibitor markets.
